A five day in-depth course on how to use MET/CAL software effectively in your automated calibration application
DescriptionIn this five day course, you will learn to use MET/CAL software effectively in your automated callibration application. Attendees will configure MET/CAL software to establish and maintain traceability, create and edit calibraion procedures, and customize the database, calibration reports and certificates. The attendees will spend time in hands-on development of MET/CAL procedures and reports.

MET/CAL Procedure
- MET/CAL V7 Introduction
- MET/CAL V7 setup and configuration
- Asset Management
- Configuration, operation, customization, adding standards, running procedures
- Procedure writing: Editor fundamentals, writing new procedures, editing existing procedures
- Procedure writing, types of FSC, procedure control FSC, maths FSC, compiling, debugging, naming procedure, flags, insert pictures, warning
- Runtime operation: Semi-Auto calibration, close loop calibraion, meter calibraion, oscilloscope calibration
- Utilities programs: AutoPro II, Quicksort
Measurement Uncertainty
- Overview of ISO17025 & Measurement Uncertainty Calculation
- Measurement of Uncertainty Calculation on MET/CAL V7
Database Management
- Database basic (SQL, Field, Record, link, tables, index, key, etc.)
- Introduction to MET/TRACK Database (Inventory, location, calibration, cal results, repair)
- SQL data engine, networks and standalone operation, database setup & customization, manual entry & query
- Utilies program: Quick Report
Calibration Report
- Crystal report basic, installation
- Using crystal reports
- Report designer (Menu bar, toolbars, cursors, tab etc.)
- Report designer control (toggle gridlines, zoom, add, delete guidelines etc)
- Creating a report (add, delete, move and merge sections, insert database field, special fields, page n of N, text object, picture, header, footer, title page, preview)
- Using formulas
- Reports: Assets due for Calibration, Turnaround time report, calibration due by departments, by technician, reverse traceability, barcode work order report
- Run time reports
- Modifying reports, customizing reports and certificate
Who Should Attend?This class is ideal for calibration professionals who use MET/CAL calibration software. You should be experienced in the day-to-day operations of a calibraion laboratory and have an understanding of electronic instrument calibration theory and practical application. A working knowledge of your company's policy and practices in calibration is beneficial.
